SPEAKER 1
Hey, it's Friday, folks. Just spent the evening last night at Ferrari Gallery, and we did the lecture. It was a lot of fun. It's fairly low turnout, but we got a good chance to have a nice conversation about the archives and the collection, the show, the network. And

Then we got a chance afterwards to go next door to Joel Kooner's private studio. Actually, his kind of archive, because he's a collector, not really an artist. And pretty fascinating. I'm going to have to talk to that guy more often about him being a collector and how he thinks about it. Very interesting stuff.

Anyway, I'm trying out this video idea and see if how it comes off. I have no idea. So it's going to be kind of short. Anyway, we spent a great evening with hanging out with people that showed up for the lecture and we got it recorded. And Zach is going to.

Visual Poetry and Color Lecture

5

Greetings all,

I just wanted to try out doing a little video recording directly on substack while out on the road to see how that looks, so far so good. Last night was the lecture in Dallas at Ferrari Gallery. Cheryl Mitchell and I sat down and had a fun conversation about the show, the collection, the network, archiving and a multitude of other issues related to the Ontological Museum as an art project.

I’ll be uploading the lecture when it is ready and more photos. Now the kids and I will head back over to the gallery this morning and take down the show and load it in my car and I’ll head back to Albuquerque tomorrow.

More soon!

Thank you for the video this morning, I wish I had the opportunity to be there for your lecture. I learn something from you everyday. I am forever grateful for that. If you ever happen to be in Indiana please let me know. You and your wife are always welcome to stay with us.

I like the new video setup. Feels personal like facetime only you don't get to see me without my face on!! And I appreciate your message to 'go into the studio and make stuff'. Nice encouragement. Be well and let me know if you ever plan on coming to Houston.

I just want you to know that I sent you 2 emails - 1 to your website and 1 dm to your instagram feed. I wanted to submit a collage to the Visual Poetry and Collage exhibition, but I was too late to send it to Albuquerque. Anyway, apparently you don't check your email - or you do and don't answer your emails or IG dms? Please forgive my annoyance, but what's the point of your having Contact Me or dm's or email addresses if you aren't going to answer anything? Best regards, Judith Stadler

Hi Judith, I am sorry to hear that we didn't connect. I just checked my email and my Instagram and don't see anything showing up with your name or email address since 2009 except this comment. I even check my trash folder and spam folder. So I am not sure what to say! instagram is @ceciltouchon and email is touchon@gmail.comYou are absolutely welcome to send your piece. It will be added to that show for the next version of the exhibition and/or catalog when I get to it in the coming months. Just send to the Albuquerque address.
