As a side note, I call these Chinese Classified because they were originally a Chinese language newspaper from Los Angeles full of classified ads used as packing material to send me something. I repurposed the packing paper to collage onto the canvases and then used the compositions of the pages to paint over to get the painting composition which to me look a lot like abstract urban maps.
