Visual Poetry and Color - the Final Update (I think)
An extra month added to Call for Works deadline

Main thing: Submission Deadline extended to July 15th
I brainstormed with Debra Ferrari and we came up what seems to be the final plan so here it is…
There have been a few updates for the show. I put them in BOLD and ITALIC below.
Call for Works
I would like to invite my fellow artist or poet subscribers to contribute one work to Visual Poetry and Color Opening July 27 and running through September at Ferrari Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
All works accepted and exhibited in this show. (spread the word with other artists)
Here is the show:

What you need to do…
Buy an 8 x 8 x .75 inch birch cradled panel from Dick Blick
https://www.dickblick.com/products/blick-premier-wood-panels/
(does not need to be Dick Blick but the same sort of panel and the same dimensions)
Make a collage on it that somehow has to do with the theme and mail it to me by JULY 15, 2024 (deadline extended one extra month!). I’ll be driving the work over to the gallery the week of July 22, 2024 and install that week.
Send your Visual Poetry artwork to:

The Exhibition
OPENING - Saturday, July 27th, 2024: The show will open as a kind of all day open house format and run through September.
WORKSHOP: On opening day I will be giving three short free collage workshops for local artists over the course of the day and inviting the participants to contribute the work to the Archives.
LECTURE - Thursday, August 15th, 2024 : I will then return in August to give a ‘ticketed’ Lecture Event talking about the Ontological Museum and the Exhibit that will include hors d'oeuvres and drinks. )
Here are other works in the show (link changed)

Hi Cecil ,
I’d like to enter the show - but I can’t find any info that describes what the theme is . I looked at the link , but still no idea .
Thank you , Amelia Currier
I’m happy for the new deadline, as we’ll be back from Japan before that. Yay!
