Hi Cecil - nice to discover your writing here. A friend suggested I look at your ‘Thursday’s Child’ because we are 3 artists based in Scotland (1 American, 1 Austrian, and 1 Scot) posting work online every Thursday. Similarly, we started this weekly practice as an act of resistance (by way of artistic creation) to the damaging extremists in power throughout our current political world. Check us out if you have a moment
Thanks for introducing yourselves. I subscribed. Yes we are in some crazy times. Crazy enough to force artists to poke their heads out of the studio windows. I always figure, since the arts community is my main interest, that humanity needs to make the world safe for their creatives to work in peace since we are the ones that create the world everyone else lives in. Life is always a struggle why make it harder than it has to be? If you work in government, just do your damn job with everyone's benefit in mind - work for the greater good. Hence, that's what we have to do everyday, work for the greater good and make the good greater. People seem to have lost touch with what the greater good is. We need to start defining that more clearly. Bitching about it doesn't seem to be very helpful. Just more noise to hide under. Let's start pointing the Way instead of at each other.
