We have the conference today and all went well. We did the whole thing to about 85 people who came. Everyone seemed inspired as far as I can tell. For my part (I was the last one) I pretty much spoke about things in the articles I am and will be posting. I make a collage over lunch and it was given away to a random audience member as well as two of Les’s collages. Les also made a set of little collages on the back of people’s name tags as a gift along with a bag of goodies.
Three people sat down with me and made a collage for the archives. I’ll post those when I get home. Les dropped me off at my airB&B and will come back to get me in about an hour to go out for dinner so I thought I would drop a note,
Tomorrow we will do a couple of collage workshops.
Ok that’s the report for today. Off to dinner…
More tomorrow!

Inspiring day. Thank you to all those who organised and contributed. I especially enjoyed your insights Cecil.
Why a great day, all the presenters were interesting and each spoke about collage from different perspectives. I didn't really know what to expect and the conference exceeded my expectations. One of the points made was that when you take action and put yourself in the situation (ie true up ) you never know what all the outcomes will be and often you will be pleasantly surprised and your expectations exceeded. I'd like to say thank you to all the presenters and to the full team behind the conference, you all did great. Just to add to Les's first date story, before today my only previous visit to this film theatre was in 1979 to watch Led Zeppelin's Madison Square Gardens live film "the Song Remains The Same' My best school mate and I were avid fans at the age of 14/15 and it was in the theatre that we found they were playing Knebworth. We slunk off school to get tickets and I hid mine in the back of my parents wedding photo on the TV which of course they never found. The first song Zeppelin played was 'In The Evening' which had not at that point been released, but you could tell it was them...... Anyway thanks again everyone, nice to meet new people and artists including of course your good self Cecil.
