This was a perfect essay for sure! One thing about aging I've discovered for myself is that I've become more accepting of myself......that is my flaws (the ones I cannot change), and just how I am even though there's always room for growth and change, learning and realizing. I love when I'm creating a piece of art and the message is coming through how I want it to. The perceive-er may not see the same exact message as made and that is perfectly alright. There's so many things I need to 'say' and having the art 'speak' those messages for me is really an extension of expression that I may have difficulty vocalizing about. But then these 187 finished pieces that are all over my home and no gallery to show them at, welcome me whenever I walk near them......see them as a whole group as well as each individual piece....like an orchestra yet each one has it's own solo to play.
Soul food.

So well said, especially in this age of "branding"
