Plum Blossoms in Japan
It’s still winter,
these beautiful blossoms
billowing, bewitching symphonies
burst into color
quietly demand our attention.
The plum tree,
pine and bamboo;
the three friends
resilience against the winter.
A welcome message,
Spring
is on its way.
People
nightingales [and]
white-eye mejiro
admiring the beauty
for over a thousand years.
I hope to see you there!
A collage poem for Jeffrey Streeter - English Republic of Letters

Thank you, Cecil! it's a lovely poem you've made out of my humble post.
PS To my admittedly inexpert eye, the trees in the photo look more like cherry trees.
Ah lovely!
