Manifesto of Instigation
Fluxus Bureau of Instigation (FBI)
We hereby declare that reality is not fixed, only rehearsed. Its routines persist through habit, not necessity.
We exist to interrupt the rehearsal.
1. The Crime is Normality
When life becomes predictable, when perception goes dull, when the imagination recedes, the world forgets it is alive. We step in.
2. Our Method is Instigation
Not aggression, coercion, or shock. Instigation is subtle provocation. A tilt of the ordinary. A hinge of perception. A reminder that wonder requires only a slight adjustment.
3. Every Moment is a Score
The sidewalk, the studio, the silence in a room. Each is a stage awaiting activation. Art does not enter life. Life is already art, awaiting instigation.
4. The Work is Anonymous and Precise
We do not seek credit. We seek awakening. The signature is a shift in the atmosphere, the trace of feeling that something just happened.
The seal may be present, but the ego is absent.
5. Documentation is Part of the Performance
A field report, a fragment, a stamp. Not to prove we acted, but to honor the moment that briefly became more alive than expected.
6. Our Allegiance is to the IMPossible
When the Massurreality demands compliance, we respond with impish play. When systems claim inevitability, we propose alternatives through gesture, whisper, and slight rupture.
We instigate to reawaken the everyday.
We sign our actions with a quiet certainty.
Fluxus is not rebellion. It is renewal.
