The Council of Aesthetic Integrity requiring poets, gardeners, and at least one child is genuinely insightful. That tripartite structure captures different scales of time and care that most policy misses. The part about assigning restoration instead of punishment for vandalism is also interesting cause it reframes damage as an opportunity to learn stewardship rather than just seeing it as a crime to punish.

Crime is a lack of communal participation. One cannot engage in crime unless one feels isolated and unconnected. Punishment is just another form of crime.
