Drop [that] Baggage
Monday, August 5, 2024
The reverberating murmurings
in the crannies of this old building.
Escape to the cobbled courtyard,
a rite of passage.Â
The freedom that strikes creatives
to focus on their practice.
Practice requires a full embracing
[of] the vast freedom to do anything,
to be daring, rule-breaking,Â
[and] how to navigate it.
It tangles with philosophy.
Avoid slipping into the insidious
known traps of wanting,
[and] holding on to that
anxiety that stems from the vastness
[the] fears of failure, [of] mediocrity, or pointlessness.
They are no longer relevant.
Drop [that] baggage over the side of the boat.
