If I could hug this article and hold it deep into my heart I would.........and I think I shall! Every brilliant sentence of this speaks truth; that you were able to put words to this Thing is the very definition of awesome. Often I'll sit in the studio with nothing in mind to create but just sitting there and eventually handling objects for a while will maybe something happen to me. It won't be planned, there are no words, no titles, no meanings........just things to fondle. The tactile feel and the shapes and even what they were in their original use will play into something else. And then some magic can happen as stuff emerges and morphs into something........something good, real, even important and meaningful that soon sometimes. I so love how my hands react to the intuition, or holy spirit, or the un-named thing you worded so beautifully......and my rational mind really is not the main character (until later when I'm figuring out the engineering of attachment, then the logical conscious mind is taking over). Even titling a piece can be difficult for me as now words have to come into play while sometimes, even a title begins with intuition as if the name of something is supposed to just be it with no doubt.
Oh my, every word of this rings true!! I always say that words are my second language, and this is why. Thank you. 😊
I always say I am still learning English!
I value the idea that 'language enters later as translation'. Enjoyed reading this very much.
Thanks Romy! 'language enters later as translation' yes, and usually a bad translation.
