I was contacted by Anja back in November of 2025 asking if I wouldn’t mind her using one of my collages for the back of the cards in this extremely well done project and I must say I am delighted to be included.
Interestingly, I have been thinking about collage portaits for some time now as the next project after Visual Poetry and Color becuase there are a good many portait collages in the archives and it would be interesting to pull those together into a unified exhibition and eventual catalog.
The Collage Portrait Memory Game (by Anja Brunt and published by BIS Publishers) is a creative matching game featuring the unique styles of 32 contemporary collage artists. Instead of matching identical images, players must recognize matching artists by their signature use of images, textures, and materials.
The game comes with a handy leaflet outlining the featured designers. Because it emphasizes visual composition rather than traditional memorization, it doubles as an educational tool for art and design.

Anja Brunt is the creator of several successful BIS Publishers games, including Playful Type Memory, Play with Shapes, and Collage Memory. After graduating from ArtEZ University of the Arts, where her thesis project focused on using educational design to teach children the concept of ‘Time’, Anja went on to build a long and successful career in the creative industry.
