Another excellent essay, Cecil. I could relate completely. That's why I call it 'playing' when I'm done with a piece and haven't started anything new.......I'll play until whatever.....either things will be used later or ignored forever. I don't take it all so seriously when creating. And being retired, I love the idea of playing and not having any "have tos" .
I read this article yesterday and was delighted to see a reference to your work! Very aligned with this post. Alllowing meaning to emerge is how young children make things.
