9/24/25 Wednesday Evening
So… here I am sitting at the airport hotel at Heathrow after a several hour ride on a bus from Looe, Cornwall. I had a great time in the south and did an all day workshop at the Arts University Plymouth for thirty students (Tuesday). They seemed to enjoy it. Then had dinner and an enjoyable evening with my hosting couple at the teacher’s home Helen Markes and her husband. Then spent the next morning - Wednesday - with my host Suzanne who showed me around a bit more, took me out for lunch, then dropped me at the bus stop for a coach up to London directly to the airport.
It has been a wild week constantly on the go. I’ll be ready to get home tomorrow evening.
9/25/25 Thursday
I woke up at about 7:00am and left the hotel at about 8:00am. I was determined to get my walking in early so I wandered around Heathrow walking the corridors of terminal #3 from which I would eventually leave. I ended up getting in about 14,000 steps by the end of the day so that helped to make up a little bit for the several days during the trip during which there was no time for walking around.
I made my flight from London at noon to Dallas (10+ hours) and then on from Dallas to Albuquerque (1.5 hours) arriving at about 6:30pm and then home by dusk at 7:00pm thoroughly exhausted. I showered and went to bed by 8:30pm after notifying my family members that I was safely home and that I was going to bed (so don’t call me).
9/26/25 Friday
I woke up this morning at about 4:45am, had some coffee, read a bit, then went out for most of my daily walk by sunrise. Another little walk this evening and I’ll make my numbers. Now I have unpacked my bags and put things away and doing my duty to make my daily journal entry then, back to my work routines, maybe starting with some collages. I made perhaps 10 collages out on the road (I’ll find out when I register them), I gave away or traded with others and received several for the Museum Archives.

Arts University Plymouth. Ha... I hope they enjoyed your workshop... One of the reasons I ended up following you on this feed was the fact I used some of your books as examples when I was researching and theorising asemic literature/art and part of an MA Programme at AUP, which remains uncompleted and unpublishable at the moment, but I hope you enjoyed your time in this part of the English woods, and that you managed to put get jam on first on your Scones... 😎
What was that house made of?
