The view this morning of Looe from Suzanne’s front door. Lovely.
I arrived yesterday to the south at the Newquay airport and Steve, a retired ‘ad man’, friend of Suzanne’s, kindly picked me up from the airport and brought me to Looe, a place I have never been to - a lovely fishing village near the ocean. Suzanne’s husband Mark met me and invited me in. We spent a couple of hours in enjoyable conversation till Suzanne returned from her day’s jaunt then Mark served us a nice dinner and we talked and watched TV till bedtime.
I slept in till about 9:30am. I will be here for a couple of days exploring the area with Suzanne as my guide.
I met Suzanne at the London Collage Residency in the spring, a friend of Graham Moore’s who had come to visit him at the workshop we had in Hackney-Wick in East London. She called her friend Helen on facetime who she said was a fan and hoped to meet me. Somewhere in the conversation they invited me come visit so, now - a few months later - here I am.
More later…
