A Quick Update on Visual Poetry and Color
There have been a few updates for the show. I put them in BOLD and ITALIC below.
I would like to invite my fellow collage artist subscribers to contribute one work to Visual Poetry and Color coming up some time in July and running through September at Ferrari Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
All works accepted and exhibited in this show.

What you need to do…
Buy an 8 x 8 x .75 inch birch cradled panel from Dick Blick
https://www.dickblick.com/products/blick-premier-wood-panels/
(does not need to be Dick Blick but the same sort of panel and the same dimensions)
Make a collage on it that somehow has to do with the theme and mail it to me by 14th - 21st of June (deadline extended one extra week). I’ll be driving the work over to the gallery toward the end of June and doing the install. The show will open sometime in July and run through September (extra month). I will be giving a ‘ticketed’ Lecture Event at the opening - I am not sure what this means yet. Maybe with drinks and dinner or something?). Then the works become part of the archives and shown in any future iterations of the show or used in other appropriate exhibitions in the future.
One artist had a few questions and I answered this:
“Theme: Visual Poetry and Color - any color is color so that is covered. Visual poetry can be in the general tradition which you can look up online or anything visually poetic in general, think poetic, poetry, visual, language or not, whatever you fancy. We are the current living poets and artists. We decide what it means and what it looks like. Artists and poets in the future can decide if we were inspirational or not.”
