A Gift of the Other

Stories hold
the possibility of being
figures of speech,
perceptual entities.
The set of relationships between themselves
forming a chain of contiguity
where meaning takes its place
in the chain of signifiers,
a process of identification.
Otherness is necessary.
Meaning eludes us,
it slips away.
The desire of the Other
saturated in the figures
composed without substance
composed of nothingness.
A moment of suspension
overwhelmed by the word
powerless to defend itself.
There is no stable correspondence.
Empty of significance
notion of the lost object,
a gift of the Other.
The object is nothing
outside the meaning,
transgressing its logic
where desire comes from.
The demand for the lost object
an almost inapprehensible
vision of language,
a radical rewriting
redirected to other pathways.
This place of emptiness,
place of nothingness,
place of truth.
Concerned with dreams
of disentangling its unity.
Ambiguities of speech,
word play,
puns and double meanings,
subjection of the unknown,
of the Other.
Language of the unconscious
back to the 'word' itself.
In all its aspects
the word is part of a system
signs and signifiers pointing.
Let us move to distant places.
Be ready for parting,
on to fresh and newer spaces
nameless and formless,
a continuous act of creation
formed before words.
Various phrases gather during a search related to psychoanalysis, linguistics, poetics and philosophy.
